Throughout My life I have struggled a lot with who I am, and my faith. In Later blogs I will go into detail about my struggle as a gay christian and my beliefs on scripture, but for now I would like to focus on the core points. I would just like to let other Christians know that it IS okay to be gay. And to let the Gays know that is is okay to be a christian! I know that God loves me, and has no problem with my lifestyle. I know that there are many others out there who struggle with the same things I went through, especially in the evangelical community. The fear of judgement and rejection from all your friends and family. But I would like to communicate that God IS Love. He understands every struggle we go through, and is there for us when we need him. The scriptures clearly say "for god so loved the world". the WORLD. not just heterosexuals.God does NOT hate you! For those who need help or support there are numerous ministries out there to help gay's worldwide come to know Christ, and do not wish to change you. Pastor Judy Hanlon of Hadwen park Congregational Church In worcester MA is a strong gay rights activist and supporter. I would advise speaking to her for questions about scripture or just someone to talk to. In further Blogs I will use scripture to defend my beliefs, and explain Hebrew and Greek meanings of commonly misunderstood scriptures.
